Skittles Sorting Machine

A mechatronics project where a sorting machine was designed to sort candy based on colour. The concept utilizes funnels and a continuously rotating wheel to ensure that the RGB sensor only analyzes a single skittle at a time. The candy is then dropped down to a sorting wheel which rotate to predetermined angles depending on the colour of the candy.

The key point of the design was that the majority of the body could be constructed using a laser cutter.

The code for the project was written in C++ using the Arduino IDE.
